\u00a0\u00a0\"\"<\/a>The presented program is the first comprehensive but not complete collection of films by experimental filmmaker Moira Tierney in Vienna.<\/p>\n

Moira\u2019s socio-political geographies have been covering Dublin, the city she was born, Paris, where she studied and New York, where she has been living for the past decades, as well as multiple other \u201cstops\u201d and \u201cpauses\u201d in cities, countries, and contexts. Her life as\u00a0a nomad and wanderings between different political, social and cultural spaces are sensitively reflected in her works which in her own words, cast
\n\u201ca critical eye on the structures we live with – particularly discriminatory structures – and disarm\u00a0them with portraits of alternative structures, communal and individual.\u201d<\/p>\n

The works presented in the program unearth an intuitive sensitive observer who translates the narratives of the everyday into the visual poetry of cinema – led by her camera and socially engaged in diverse alternative communities.\u00a0(For more information, please visit\u00a0the\u00a0filmmaker’s website<\/a>.)<\/p>\n
