3 × 16mm + live sound: the films are inspected with one modified optical analyzer modulated by live sound and two 16mm projectors.
The memory stains of the places where silver had been extracted for centuries. That silver gave Europe the opulence and shaped its insolent images. There is no more silver left in those places. There is no more silver left in these films. It was there but we bleached it out so you can see the colors.
Labodoble is an artist-run photochemical film lab based in Prague, founded by Alexandra Moralesová and Georgy Bagdasarov. Working entirely by hand — from exposure through developing to projection — they treat the film apparatus itself as material, chasing sustainable, self-made processes that stay alive in the digital twilight.
