| 26.09.2026 | 10–18:00 | A workshop on hand-processed color by Alex Morales and Georgy Bagdasarov |
In this workshop focused on color development we bend, fold and detour the color space of a print stock. We will go from color positive footage directly to color print, skipping the negative step. Through appropriate and inappropriate film chemistry — developing in darkness or developing in light — color can be shifted into all its possible variants, from the realistic to the intergalactic.
Working by hand between the darkroom and the „lightroom“, we mix and mis-mix chemistry, expose and develop print stock, and chase the accidents that turn a familiar color into something that shouldn’t quite exist. Everyone leaves with their own processed strips and a handful of recipes to keep bending on their own.
Basic developing skills recommended. Language: English.

Labodoble is an artist-run photochemical film lab based in Prague, founded by Alexandra Moralesová and Georgy Bagdasarov. Working entirely by hand — from exposure through developing to projection — they treat the film apparatus itself as material, chasing sustainable, self-made processes that stay alive in the digital twilight.
