How can we find a constructive way of dealing with rejection—something we all likely experience again and again?
What does it do to us? And does it actually say anything about the quality of our work?
No.
In this screening series, we present films that have not been shown anywhere before. Films that have been rejected repeatedly, but are not worse because of it.
We want to show that this happens to everyone and to take a stand against festival economies and market mechanisms.
We aim to offer a platform to films that do not seem to properly fit anywhere else.
In December 2025, we launched an open call for precisely these kinds of films.
We received a total of 19 submissions from Vienna, Denmark, France, Mallorca, Bangalore, and Washington, D.C.
All submitted films will be screened.

Most of the time, we only see how well things are going for others and celebrate our successes. Here, the focus is on failure, not fitting in, and being left out—because rejection is not the exception, but the rule.
Within this lies a quiet solidarity, and perhaps even a form of resistance against the economy of visibility and in favor of the right to non-conformity.
