A hands-on workshop on the chemical processes involved in working with photochemical materials:
mixing black-and-white developers (and other chemistry) from raw chemicals and developing various 16 mm film stocks.
The basic concepts and handling of chemical raw materials will be explained, as well as the differences and similarities between various black-and-white film developers.
This workshop is also an introduction to working independently and safely in the darkroom.
Prior experience with photo chemical film is preferred but not required.
The workshop is a follow-up to the Chemistry Basics for Photo Chemical Film Work held in November 2025.
The workshop will be held by Alina Tretinjak as part of DarkRoomBasics, a lecture and workshop series specialized in the basics of photochemical film work.
Participation fee: 100€
