Dear friends, it’s that time again: Super 8 & Karaoke –
this time: X-MAS Edition!

On this evening, two formats come together that might not seem to match at first glance, but are somehow a dream team: Super 8 and Karaoke. Both started in the amateur world, both are creative, charming, and impossible to kill – and both are incredibly fun! Our last edition already created some unbelievably magical moments. Let’s do it again.
How does it work?
We show a Super 8 film – either brought by you or by someone else – and a karaoke song (from YouTube) is performed along with it. Whether spontaneous on the spot or planned beforehand, you get to decide which song fits which film. Picking and pondering together is half the fun!
The performer stands in front of the screen where the film is projected. Two external monitors – one for the singer and one for the audience – display the lyrics. Participation is highly encouraged: singing together makes everything even more fun!
Anyone who has been to filmkoop knows: it’s cozy and intimate. No need to perform on a big stage.
X-MAS Edition:
Don’t worry – you don’t have to show only Christmas films or sing Jingle Bells. Anything goes! Being together, singing together, and sharing film and music is festive enough. 🎅✨ But if you feel like combining some Christmas classics or an old holiday film from your shelf with karaoke hits, please do! Glitter and jingle are more than welcome.
Bring your Super 8 films!
Whether artistic experiments, the results of your last workshop, your first camera test, a festival hit, grandma’s vacation footage, or a mysterious flea-market find – we’ll play everything you bring. Yes, digital versions are fine too, though nothing beats the magic of an analog projection!
And if you don’t have a Super8 film but love karaoke – you’re just as welcome!
We have plenty of films in reserve.
Admission is free! (Donations welcome)
