EXPERIMENTAL FILM meets EXPERIMENTAL MUSIC

For this year’s summer festival, we are collaborating for the first time with ELAK Vienna, the electroacoustic and experimental music programme at the University of Music and Performing Arts. Students of the programme will create soundtracks for films by members of filmkoop Wien.
The results of this collaboration will be presented in two parts of the programme, which are dedicated to the interaction between experimental film and experimental music. Both art forms are united by an unusual approach to form, structure and perception, and familiar viewing and listening traditions are questioned and broken.
Before, between and after the film programmes, we will enjoy the evening with music, food and drinks in and around the square in front of the filmkoop Wien.
